We Want You! There is nothing to worry, AoF doesn’t want u dead but want u alive, kicking and as a member of AoF.
AoF-Alliance of Freelancers is NOT a clan but an association of freelancers and traders. We Fight! We Trade!!We Loot!!!
We do all kinds of sort from dealing with pirates to trading to hard-core fighting. This is the shortest definition of AoF activities-Do what u want to do. As simple as that.
I would give u the reasons about what so special about AoF and what made me fly in its colours.
(1)FREEDOM-Yes Freedom!!AoF stands for freedom,the freedom of the Freelancer.
There are two important characteristics of AoF that sets it apart from other clans and is the reason why AoF is not a clan but only clan-like. They are-
(a)Diplomacy-AoF has two kinds of diplomacies. One diplomacy is the common diplomacy, which is for the entire organization of AoF.The other is the diplomacy of the individual member of AoF.A member of AoF can exclude from the common diplomacy and like a Freelancer have his own diplomacy. Also the common diplomacy tends to be neutral.
(b)Role-PlayAoFdoesn’t have an RP of its own but it is the members who have the freedom to have their own RP.This gives more freedom. And no, this doesn’t mean purposelessness and lack of direction because we always have enough enemies and hostilities to target leading to no loss of any fighting element. There are enough reasons to bond together-from making money to protecting association’s assets to work towards common welfare.

Therefore AoF gives u the chance to be in a “clan” without having those burdensome and binding rules one usually associates with clans.
(2) Legacy and Past History-AoF is not your “two-month old clan” but an association that is nearly a year old in Void. It had people like 911,WatchWolf and Zebulon flying under its wings and the fundamentals of AoF are really strong.
(3) Uniqueness-There is only one AoF in Void and there is only one AoF-like “clan” in Void that is-AoF.

P.S. Can anyone help me get windows onto an itronix gobook with linux 2.6.2. installed? I have tried the single user command but I can't log in. If I change anything by pressing e to edit it restores to what it was when it reboots.. .. .. changing password does nothing - passwd command doesn't exist, comand lines are limited!! :

I took the Hdd out and the one on my other laptops has a diff. connection type.

I am hoping a boot disk will work, I do not know how to and if i can install windows from usb external DVD Drive (lightscribe)- so I'm going to try making a boot disk, darn computer only has a floppy drive.

2. How long have you played Freelancer Multiplayer? Less than a week, but picked it up quickly, still adjusting to some Void MP changes

4. Where are you from and what is your timezone? I live near Manchester England, UK and my time zone is GMT+/-0

5. Do you have any previous clan/group experience? Not on this game

6. At what times are you able to play? Variable, GMT12noon to GMT 12midnight, working from GMT5pm to GMT8:30pm

7. Which wing of AoF do you want to join? First, [T] wing, then after I've build up a decent amount of credits for a respectable fighter, [A] wing

8. Why do you want to join the Alliance of Freelancers? Because the members I've encountered in-game were friendly and a good laugh, which is what i'm looking for. People to play and chat with who don't mind showing me the ropes

Any other notes: I've encountered two players in game under my ID Bob_Marley, and have been welcomed to create the ID [AoF][T]Marley by them, if I remember right the ID of the player who recruited me was [A]Hash, and I've also encountered [A]Cugix who wanted to recruit me a day earlier but had to go offline.
