Making a mark at Discovery Server FL

Well with my stand down from I.S.B i intend to become a full time AoF member on discovery. if thats good news or not im not 100% sure but hey

Thats really good to hear as ive never started a clan/faction etc before anywhere. Well you Ghosty have good experiance on the whole clan creation thing (VLF etc), we can discuss ideas on xfire. Me and Existence i would say are more suited to maintaining a clan as am not as creative and dont pay attention to all the little details unlike Ghosty.

I'll be able to get more information this weekend as my homework is small and i have no plans on anything to do. Couldnt get on FL last night as i ended up trying to work out how surds work in maths... wtf are surds?

Reverend Del is an Admin and experianced player, he has started quite a few factions on discovery and also i know someone else who may have some advice to share. He has a lot of characters but his forum name is Seth Karlo.

Am hoping that someone here would be able to type up a RP story for AoF on discovery as it is a very important part, also i think it would benefit our standing if i type a story for my AoF character as the discovery people just love to have plenty of Rp on characters. After we get rolling i shall discuss what our story should be about etc and then hopefully someone will be willing to type it out.

The choice for faction is then Zoner or Freelancer, Zoner would be handier for relations with pirate factions such as the corsairs.

In what way does it not?

Well Geromix said to make [A] wing more aggresive. The bloody Zoners are neut to everythign and would get accused of breaking RP wouldnt they?

I believe he mean as in bounties etc, zoners can collect bounties.

Heres a suggestion for the RP story but of course with more meat on the bone later. so technically its a breif.

As the House states were formed a small group know as the Zoners fled from the fierce politics and lifestyles of the house states. They built there own small bases to start up yet one thing was missing. A stable and secure economy.

The richest of the Zoners formed together to found a run an organisation known as the Alliance of Freelancers using this specific name in the hope that the Zoners would begin to interests the freelancers peaceful cause.

Many joined this organisation and soon it became the financial structure of the Zoners all over Sirius. With a pick up in finances came power and with power they could no longer remain hidden from the House states.

Yeah that sounds alright but that would have to be a very brief description of the full story as for the full one we will need to meantion pilot names, where they was born, why they they decided to start Aof etc. Remember these points, who, what,when,where,why.

Ghosty have a look at some other faction sories on the disco forum and am sure you will pick up a few points.

Heres the first draft of the RP story

It firstly worked with traders building a stable economy provided safe transport for cargo being transferred through the outer and border worlds from house state to house state. They did not like helping the house states transfer their goods but it was the only way to keep their borders secure from invasion by one of the states and to keep their finances safe.

Suddenly with the known attack on Freeport 7 a new perspective to the Zoners security soon came into view. The great trade that once lay rested in the hands of those that could not be trusted. Something had to be done! Soon the Alliance of Freelancers announced a new wing hiring pilots to protect their ships as escorts and to if need be help defend their bases if it ever came to it.

Until this day Freeport 7 has been the only base of the Zoners attacked by an enemy threatening war so the small wing of fighters never played a more serious role than to protect traders but when someone offers large amounts of money for small tasks these pilots have not been known to say no.

The Zoners financial stability has and always will be the problems of the Alliance of Freelancers and till this day it is believed they have been doing a successful job in making the AoF and the Zoner finances flourish as a developing group of traders and freelancers flying for one cause. To make money!

Sorry there was quite busy past weekend.Would be throughout this week.
Anyway my opinion-

Great to have u lead AoF in Discovery Branch.Discovery from what i see is really different from Void.

And it is far bigger than Void with lots of players in it.

It will be a challenge and from what i know of u,u should do well if u have patience and persistence.
I suppose it will take some time maybe a month for AoF to settle in Disco so it would be challenging and best wishes with u and Titan.

Regarding Zoners-
There are a Lawful Faction in Disco.Unlike Void where they are neutral,Zoners here are not completely neutral.
They 'tend to be hostile' to unlawful factions.
So we can't be doing unlawful bounties or for that be supporting them through any future [X].

According to Disco-
There are 2 Zoners faction-
TAZ and Jupiter's Guild.
Contact them for further fine-tuning of RP.They may also help us out.They would also become the first allies for AoF.

Regarding RP Story-
First part is good,awesome in fact.

But u need to make some changes to the part where [A] Wing comes in to the picture.
Don't sideline it but give it equal importance.

As i said [A] should be aggressive,so it should be aggressive in defending Zoners assets.

I really don't think AoF should concentrate on money aspect in this server.

It should be more of a fighting organization here(under limits of Zoners RP)Zoners are not known as great fighters but where there is scope there should be more 'fighting' aspect.

I think Omicron Theta being squeezed in by Corsairs and Outcasts on both sides through Alpha and Gamma along with the fact that there are Nomads lurking near gives some more RP scope.

But obviously it has to be in limits,we can't be a law enforcement agency and i always wondered how Zoners managed it on their own when they have Outcasts and Corsairs to handle.(the only way being is exploiting differences between the two)

Also how is that Zoners have bribes/ability to fix ur rep for lot of these factions?

I think the above points can help u frame the second part.

The faction above is a lot similar to us,read the replies carefully and u can see some probs that Disco members can bring out.
We need to avoid the same mistakes they made.

Well it could help,but we need to convince them well and most importantly play the essence of the RP.

We need to be careful with what ships we will use and guns we are going to use.Need to associated with our RP.

meh i'll stick to void... not good in telling stories and i wanna be able to carry the best gunz

funnily every faction in this mod is based to have good guns so that players will pay them.

i always thought vodis best guns were the missile spamming gits
