Ok word has it that we might want to make our mark at Discovery Server of FL. Well i think its good tho...Alright, since discovery is a very strict RP server i wondering wat kind of RP we will adopt? i dont know if they support our play style since we sort off RP less except for our X Wing.Im all up to try discovery..

ps..do you know where is the server based at? i mean we knew that void is in german.

Oh is this the server that has this famous star wars ship as a trade ship and has a dynamic economy?

u Can become one fo the shipping companys that are present in every house state and u can have [A] wing as a private escourt wing for ur traders. they wont accept [X] wing but they should accept the other 2. U need 500mil to give ur suggestion of ur clan to the admins.

No not the starwars ships it has alot fo new ships for RP.

It has ships that are like star wars ships but am quite sure none of them are trade ships. If u mean dynamic economy as in prices change according to supply and demand then no it doesnt.

I dont think we could have [X] wing in our alliance/company unless we come up with a good RP reason for having them. Such as maybe our [T] wing and [A] wing is just a legal front for our [X] wing illegal bussiness. So we appear to be another legal shipping company with the [A] wing as escorts etc but also we have the more secret [X] wing who deal in illegal stuff, something along those lines i would suggest.

I believe the server is in Belgium, i will check soon

i dont think bringing the [X] wing is much of a problem no matter wether they accept it now. we could still just use AoF [A] & [T] im sure i could build u up a forum structure and help out ALITTLE with the main stuff but most of u should know now im trying to get an RP clan setup on Void.

I took a look at their forums,it certainly is a RP Server,a sharp contrast to Void server,i mean can u imagine a clan called GMG in Void?

Yes many changes have to be made.

They have a very long process for a faction(don't think they use the word clan) to become official.

Ghosty is right u need 500mil credits to apply but more than that it is effort u put in ur application,

So what do u think?

I have head they need active trade factions and that their next version of mod to be released some time this year will improve things for traders.

We must choose a good NPC Faction to align with.
Currently i read that players don't want to join trade factions because they want to trade independently and trade any commodity instead of commodity related to that area/House.

In one of the posts above there is an interesting link about Sirius Trade Federation which is aligned with Zoners and therefore have wider area of influence and operation.
We can choose something like that.

Also in the link related to RP Unused factions there is 'Freelancer' listed as well.
Would that mean they want a faction for Freelancers?

It is a sharp change from the void and yeah they dont have clans they have factions like their is a Republican Shipping faction in it who do trade and stuff from Reinland. I dont know a lot about making an official faction but 500 mil is not too much. It aint pocket money change of course but with my ADV train i can make around 10 mil per trade run from Reinland to Kusari. Considering i dont get attacked by the Outcast faction, the Dragoons faction or indie pirates in sigma-13. Oh yeah pirates can tax you however much they want, i usually get asked for around 3 mil but i am in the biggest cargo ship in game so they know i have some cash on me.

About the picking a npc faction to allign with, well in my RP i work for Universal shipping ( i has the ID and IFF for it) so that ( i hope) gives me the chance to trade all over Sirius. Indie traders are quite popular but i find it funner to be able to go around with an Universal tag Smile

It took a lot of changing to my play style to settle on discovery so am sure it will be difficult for adjusting AoF but i can promise you all that if you give it a go and are open to serious RP then you will love it.

If any one goes on the server then send me a pm or something and we can meet.

Now we have to think about this is the long term,i think the best way to proceed would be by first getting to know the server well.

It eamsn AoF members going there need to be freelancers for a while and after they have understood the server and it factions we will be in a better position to decide.

Just when we apply to these Admins we have to pay 500mi credits.

ahem geromix...i didnt say that i will be in discovery,i said im all up to TRY discovery. Sorry for the disappointment. my time to play FL is limited. i prefer to co-lead in ikariam for now.

hey guys. sorry i aint been on in... ages, i gave up on ogame ages ago and found discovery to play on, i think it's great other than all the role play nerds. i like the role play bit but some people on the server take it waaaay too far, just yesturday i was killed by three dragons whilst raising monies, just incase you decide to come on disco. apparently "i was supplying a false government" ( selling diamonds to kusari) or somethin but aside that, it's a great mod with the capitol ships and and bomber ships and ID's new weps and transport ships.

i had, however, thought of a slight problem that may occur if AoF decides to go. In discovery ID's are your role play status. you can have independant ID's (pirate, freelancer, trader) but you also get factioned ID's ( corsair, outcast, universal, navy etc.) The problem i thought up was if say a factioned outcast and a factioned corsair were in or wanted to join up. this would cause quite the role play nerd stir up as you may know that corsairs and outcasts are hostile with each other. i was thinking to have only independant ID's with an AoF tag on. Also the "IFF" or the tag to non role play nerds is your most friendliest faction and it's name appears beside your name ( eXistence - Outcast ) i have an independant pirate ID but the tag would probably still make corsairs role play nerds angry. also... Neutral ship and equipment may cause a stir say you had an outcast ship with a corsair ID or tag or an outcast ship with any equipment on it other than outcast equipment or CODENAMES ( tizona's on a sabre ) i do agree with the ship ,equipment tag and ID rules because it is a role play server and it adds to the fun and i'm sure we can use tsoem ingame role play nerd activities to get around that. why just yesturday i said there were giant space worms attached to my head and order doctors were skilled in removing them to an order he would let me land on toledo Smile it's fun!

if anyone else wants to try it out, i have planty of cash for maybe 3 or 4 people?
